His clinical precision, academic excellence, and pioneering work have earned him a reputation as one of the region’s foremost cardiac specialists.
Dr. Al Bustani received his Internal Medicine training at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, followed by fellowships in Adult Cardiology at the University of Calgary and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Western Ontario. He holds dual board certifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
Internationally credentialed, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) — reflecting his expertise in cutting-edge interventional techniques and dedication to advancing global standards of care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Al Bustani has played an instrumental role in transforming cardiac care in the UAE. He served as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) for a decade, where he led the institution to achieve the first Level 4 Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary Angioplasty outside the United States in 2011 — a landmark achievement in the region’s healthcare history.
