Ms.Widad Ahmad

Widad Ahmed Abd Al Rahman is a highly accomplished physiotherapy and rehabilitation specialist with more than three decades of professional experience in physical medicine, sports rehabilitation, and therapeutic care. A Syrian national based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, she has dedicated her career to improving patients’ quality of life through advanced physiotherapy techniques and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.

Mrs. Widad began her professional training in physiotherapy at Dr. Ahmed Hamish Hospital for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Damascus, Syria, under the supervision of Bulgarian physicians. She later earned her Physiotherapy Certificate from the University Hospital in Germany with a “Very Good” distinction. Driven by her commitment to continuous professional development, she completed postgraduate studies in Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, and specialized exercise programs for children with cerebral palsy, in addition to advanced training in modern neurotechnology and orthopedic rehabilitation. Since 1993, Mrs. Widad has served in the Physiotherapy Section of the Police Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi, where she has built an outstanding reputation for excellence in patient care and rehabilitation. Prior to this role, she worked in leading rehabilitation and healthcare centers in both the UAE and Syria, gaining extensive experience in treating orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions. Throughout her career, Mrs. Widad has participated in numerous international conferences, workshops, and specialized training programs in sports medicine, electrotherapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, kinesiology taping, dry needling, acupuncture, and spinal decompression therapy. Her expertise also extends to advanced rehabilitation technologies, including shock wave treatment and ANF neurotechnology for orthopedic injuries. In addition to her clinical work, Mrs. Widad has actively contributed to the sports and medical communities. She served as the therapist for all participating teams during the First Abu Dhabi Ladies Football Tournament in 2006 and completed FIFA medical and anti-doping certification programs. Her dedication and professionalism have earned her multiple certificates of appreciation from Abu Dhabi Police, healthcare institutions, and regional sports organizations.

Licensed by the health authorities in Abu Dhabi as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physiotherapist and Rehabilitation Supervisor, Mrs. Widad is recognized for her leadership, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to professional growth.
